Aristeu Pires’ inaugural chair was designed with his father in mind, prioritizing comfort, support, and ease of movement. Set at an ideal height, the flat armrests provide steady elbow support and room for a cup, while the taut hand-wrapped cording allows air to circulate for relaxed outdoor sitting. Light in appearance yet thoughtfully engineered, the design earned first place in the furniture category at the 21st Museu da Casa Brasileira Awards in 2007.
Handcrafted from sustainably harvested Brazilian wood and wrapped in over 400 feet of cord, the Gisele Lounge Chair is available in indoor and outdoor finishes with optional upholstery.
