Originally designed by Danish architects Arne Jacobsen and Flemming Lassen for Søllerød City Hall (1939–1942), the Mayor Sofa reflects their holistic approach to design, encompassing everything from architectural planning to furniture and interior details. The sofa expresses a moderated modernism with a distinctly regional sensibility, combining a solid oak frame with tailored upholstery and three loose seat cushions. The result is a composition that balances structure and comfort with enduring clarity.
