Rooted in the 18th-century English Windsor Chair—long a touchstone of Modernist design—the Spindle collection draws inspiration from a visit to Louis Kahn’s Exeter Library, where the juxtaposition of a traditional Windsor Chair against Brutalist architecture revealed a compelling dialogue between past and present. Stripping the familiar silhouette to its essence, the design refines the form through slender metal legs and spindles, replacing traditional wood to achieve a sense of lightness and precision. Ergonomically carved wooden elements appear to float atop minimal supports, creating a striking visual balance. The result is an updated classic, further enhanced by a commercial-grade return swivel that ensures both ease of use and suitability for hospitality environments.
