PK23
The PK23™ Chair was originally conceptualized by Poul Kjærholm in 1954 but remained only as sketches until recently brought into production. Characterized by its wide, low-profile form designed to encourage relaxed conversation, the chair features vertically divided laminated veneer shells for both the seat and backrest, joined by an elegant connecting detail. The design represents an important step in Kjærholm’s evolving design language, blending ideas from earlier works such as the PK4™ Chair and PK0™ Chair while foreshadowing the refined structural clarity and minimalism that would define his later pieces.
