Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1936 for Denmark’s Radio House—now the Royal Danish Academy of Music—the Radiohus Sofa is a rare and exclusive example of Nordic Functionalism. Rejecting the rigid, conservative lines of its time, the sofa embraces a more forward-looking expression defined by fluid curves and an open construction. Beautiful from every angle, its embracing form invites the sitter in, while the quilted back underscores the precision of its design.
